The Indirect Procurement Lead will be responsible for procuring materials, capital goods and services at optimum cost to ensure the smooth running of the site and production facility.

Our client are a global blue chip manufacturing company based just outside of Herne Bay, Kent.
Description
The Indirect Procurement Lead will report into the Purchasing Manager and take responsibility for the transactional and strategic procurement activity relating to the supply of goods and service for the site.

Review purchase requisitions and contracts for site purchases, ensuring optimum cost, value and best practice.

Identify requisitions and contracts with room for improvement on cost and/or service and action as necessary.

Manage the tender and negotiation process for new contracts and any contract renewals

Create purchase orders ensuring favourable terms whilst meeting company and internal customer needs.

Ensure all goods and services are delivered to budgets, quality, timeframes and service level agreements.

Liaise with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply, address any issues and identify further opportunity to develop the collaboration.

Promote a competitive and varied supply market and apply best practice techniques to analyse spend and gain maximum strategic and tactical advantage.

Liaise with internal departments including; Production, Quality and Engineering to ensure supply demands are met OTIF and at optimum quality and cost.

Maintain the ERP system to control non-inventory parts and ensure full visibility within the company
Profile
The Indirect Procurement Lead will be able to demonstrate:

Experience with Indirect Purchasing including CAPEX, Facilities, Equipment, Consumables and Services

Proven track record of cost savings and vendor performance management
-
Exposure to the Engineering Industry

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
