Procurement Manager

We are recruiting for a procurement manager for a charity based in South London This role will be to improve all aspects of procurement within the organisation.

You will develop a detailed understanding of all non-payroll related expenditure across the charity ,drive savings and other procurement efficiencies across the organisation by consolidating and renegotiating purchasing arrangements for major spends.

Procurement at this organisation is stull in its infancy and will therefore offer the right candidate an exciting opportunity to take the development of an effective and consistent procurement strategy to the next stage.

The role will initially be for a fixed term, one year period, with the potential for it to be extended / made permanent. Ideally, I am looking looking for a CIPS qualified, highly self-motivated individual with in depth procurement experience from a similar role in a target driven environment and a proven track record of achieving sustained cost reductions.

You must have excellent communication, negotiation and facilitation skills and be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages in house databases. Experience of working for a charity would be useful but is not essential but being 'volunteer friendly' is a must.
