Overview
Join the finance department for an established Fintech:
- We are looking for a Financial Operations Manager to have oversight of the Financial Ops team, which will include Reconciliation Operations and Customer Operations.
- Reporting to the Head of Customer Operations, you will have relevant operational experience in managing and delivering results and big team management experience.
- You will have an analytical mindset with excellent communication and rapport building skills with the ability to influence and liaise with finance and non-finance stake holders.
- This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain wide exposure across the business and to really influence and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Track record in setting up and running transaction, loan or payment reconciliation processes in financial services. Ability to understand complex reconciliatory problems, from multiple sources
- Responsible for continuous process improvement, including the implementation of, and introduction of Best Practices
- A financial controllership mandate. Track record in implementing process controls and improving system and processes security
- Responsible for the recruitment, mentoring and developing of the team that report into you
- Oversight of weekly and monthly MI reporting as requested by the CFO and the Head of Customer Operations
- Development and training of a team within a start-up environment
Qualifications, skills and desirable experience
- A strong degree in a numerate discipline, or equivalent professional experience (you need to be comfortable with numbers and be able to spot numerical errors)
- Experience of creating deliverables for C-level audiences and challenging the assumptions of senior colleagues
- Comfortable with databases, SQL and Excel
