An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Global Category Innovation Assistant Manager based at their prestigious facility in Blackfriars. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25-hour week. This role is paying up to between £39,500 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be working in the Oral Care category strategy team, assisting the senior category strategy manager in a key projects for the category.

Main responsibilities:

Portfolio Transformation | Supporting Senior Category Manager in developing the oral care flavour portfolio transformation

Working with cross-functional team | Working with the project cross-functions (R&D, research procurement, flavour houses, consultant)

Working with brand teams| Liaising and working closely with brand project teams.

Senior leadership | Updating project at the steercom, GCLT and other forums

Category Strategy | Leading specific Category Strategy projects. Preparing analysis & presentation for the Category (country docking, category Tribe, EVP meeting, etc.)

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

Interface: R&D, Consumer Insights, Procurement, Brand teams, Flavour houses

We are looking for a candidate that is highly motivated, curious and action-oriented.

Experience in marketing, with project management experience (and ideally with innovation development)

-Bias for action: ability to multi-task and absorb a heavy workload in a fast-paced/high-change environment

Strong project management skills

Cross-functional team management skills, knows how to navigate a big and complex structure (local & global teams, different functions and stakeholders)

- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: able to provide clarity and consolidated view to a complex project with numerous brand projects and sub-activities, highlighting the key messages and milestones to ensure the project stays on track.

Global mindset & Self-disciplined: autonomous, flexible and ability to work alone with remote project team, while at the same time, able to connect and drive global brand project teams

Eye for details, organised, rigorous

-Proficiency in understanding and working with technical teams (formulation R&D)

Positive mindset, good with relationship management, strategic influencing, able to get things out of people not directly reporting/working to him/her
