Supply Chain Manager- London

An awesome new role has landed hot off the press!! One of my favourite clients is looking for a supply chain manager for their busy bakery group. They are looking for an experienced supply chain manager that understands an ever-changing food business, will go the extra mile to ensure great service and will be able to communicate clearly and effectively. In return you will be working with a business that has incredible pride in what it offers, has excellent staff retention and great company benefits.

Salary £30,000-£40,000pa depending on experience.

The role

  • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Regular review of the purchasing needs of the business identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts and agreements.
  • Routine supplier reviews, evaluating performance and compliance in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
  • Ensuring that all expenditures fall within designated budget.
  • Run and evaluate bids in tender process and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.

Skills

  • Familiarity with company sales records and inventory.
  • Awareness of market trends and new or competitive products.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting invoices and packing slips.
  • Knowledge of company’s customer base.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
