Estimator/Bid Manager

Our client is a fast-growing high-end Office Fit Out and Refurbishment Contractor based on Shoreditch.

Due to the expected growth in new project enquiries they are now looking for an Estimator/Bid Manager to join the team and help with the growth of the business. This is a great opportunity for you to be recognised and rewarded for your performance and progress within a strong and growing business.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates for project Tenders
  • Organise quotes from supply chain and manage site visits
  • Understand Tenders received, and report risks to the Board
  • Preparation of indicative programme to accompany bid
  • Liaise with sales team and project manager to predict the timescale of a project
  • Calculating a final figure for the estimated cost with adjustments for overheads and profit
  • Presenting a Tender price
  • Follow up with client to reach a positive conclusion
  • Post tender negotiations

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Organised with ability to prioritise
  • Accurate and meticulous attention to detail
  • Numerate and accurate
  • Technical understanding of construction drawings
  • Solid experience in the fit-out industry
  • Ability to assert and asses oneself
  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to co-operate and assess others in the team
  • Positive response to pressure
  • Technically competent in the estimating process
  • Customer focused
  • Preferable experience of estimating software.

Salary £50 - £60k (Negotiable)
