We are currently working with our market leading, international client to recruit a strong administrator to join their UK head office. Based in Watford, this role will provide administrative support to one of their largest customer facing teams and ensure the smooth delivery of goods to their UK customer base. We are looking for candidates with previous administration experience (ideally in supply chain/sales admin or similar), strong IT skills and an excellent work ethic.

Overview of duties:

  • Creating purchase orders for each new sales order received from customers so that stock can be ordered in line with the suppliers lead time
  • Updating purchase orders with changes and cancellations received from both customers and suppliers
  • Ensure bookings are requested from customers in advance of stock arriving in the UK
  • Create Shipping Notifications within 24 hours of receiving shipping confirmations
  • Communicating slippages, delays and other related problems efficiently to both customers, account managers and suppliers
  • Ensure delivery notes are created for allocated customers at least 24 hours prior to delivery
  • Assist other Supply Chain team members with investigations into stock discrepancies
  • The jobholder is required to keep an accurate and up-to-date record of all outstanding/current tasks to ensure the smooth working of the team.
  • All associated administrative tasks

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous supply chain experience desirable
  • Previous administration experience essential (ideally within supply chain, sales admin, order fulfilment or similar role)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent team player - flexible and hard working
  • Strong organisation skills
