Transport & Logistics Manager needed near Ringwood, circa £35k + benefits, CPC holder ideally, weekdays only

Your new role
In this position you will lead the Transport solution, ensuring that customers receive excellent service, delivered in a cost-effective manner, monitoring vehicle fill and other metrics to drive performance. You will lead a small team of drivers and FLT operatives, supporting their further development and training to meet the changing needs of the business. As well as a handful of own vehicles (artics and 7.5t), you will also control the loads that are sent via various haulier and courier partners, monitoring performance and cost. You will capture all relevant data to enable sound business decisions to be made.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a CPC holder, and your CV will demonstrate successes in a similar role. Your background may be within a similar manufacturing business, but we are also happy to talk to people from 3PL, Retail or other distribution environments. The essential requirements are that you know the factors that influence the performance of a Transport function, and can motivate and lead a small team in the delivery of an excellent service. You will be comfortable in a KPI driven environment, be IT literate, and a strong communicator. You will have an eye for detail, be commercially aware, and enjoy making a positive impact at work.
