Global IT Category Manager - Global Technology Giant - Newcastle / Willing to Relocate to Newcastle - £60k-£70k + excellent package (including: 30% bonus, shares, competitive pension & many more benefits)

Following a period of ongoing success and expansion, a global technology giant seeks an extremely ambitious and driven global IT category manager to join their centralised procurement function in Newcastle.

Working out of their global HQ, the ambitious global IT category manager will join a centralised procurement function that is continuing to gain recognition for their success worldwide. The ambitious global IT category manager will join an award-winning procurement team, catering for an annual budget in excess of £50M across many innovative global IT sub-categories, including hardware, software, networks, telecoms etc. The driven global IT category manager will gain autonomy across the technology giant, joining a forward-thinking culture that merits hard work and allows for accelerated career progression.

Basic salary: £60k-£70k, with a package including: 30% bonus, shares, competitive pension, 30 days annual leave + public holidays & many more benefits).

Global IT Category Manager Responsibilities:

• Responsible for an annual budget in excess of £50M, catering for a variety of global innovative IT procurement projects within networks, software, hardware, telecoms etc.
• Accountable for the end to end procurement lifecycle across a multitude of global innovative IT projects
• Lead and develop relations with various global suppliers, vendors & c-level stakeholders throughout the global technology giant

Global IT Category Manager Requirements:

• Evident experience within IT procurement, catering for the end to end procurement lifecycle across a variety of IT sub-categories as a junior and/or senior IT buyer - ideally within a blue-chip organisation
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
• Evidence of success and career progression to date
• Educated to degree level / equivalent (essential) and MCIPs desired but not essential
