Your new company
A leading manufacturing company in Cambridge are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team part-time, 20 hours/week on a permanent basis. This company is the European leader in their field and have been operating for over 20 years.

Your new role
The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for placing orders to ensure all items are delivered by the required date, negotiate quotations with suppliers and updating the SAGE system when required. In addition, the Purchasing Assistant will be undertaking quality and service reviews, sourcing new suppliers across the UK and China and ensuring all purchasing procedures are followed.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is either looking to get back into working in a purchasing function or to gain valuable experience in purchasing and to work for an innovative company.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, the Purchasing Assistant will need to have previous purchasing experience, excellent communication and organisational skills. In addition, the Purchasing Assistant will have great accuracy and attention to detail as well as strong Microsoft Office skills. Speaking Mandarin will be an advantage but is not essential for this role.

What you'll get in return
In return, the Purchasing Assistant will receive a pro rata salary of £25,000 and work for a reputable company in Cambridge
