OPERATIONS MANAGER - EDUCATION / TRAINING

THE OPPORTUNITY:

I am currently recruiting for my client based in Huddersfield for an Operations Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an extremely rare and exciting opportunity to join an expanding business who can offer strong development and excellent training. This would suit an experienced Manager who has a strong understanding of or background within Adult Education or Training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the planning, review, development, design and implementation of an Adult Learning curriculum which is attractive to prospective employers and learners.
• Monitoring performance against key performance indicators, especially in relation to recruitment, retention, attendance and success targets
• Manage a budget to deliver agreed revenue and contribution
• Recruit, manage and motivate a team of delivery staff, either directly or through matrix management protocols
• Lead on the accreditation and verification of all Adult Learning programmes with awarding organisations
• Ensure that all Adult Learning provision has the necessary premises, facilities and resources to deliver high quality learning
• Ensure that all learners are eligible for funding and are compliant under the carious funding rules
• In association with the Head of Quality, ensure the quality of all programmes in Adult Learning
• Working with Business Development to build a successful sales pipeline through a consultative engagement with employers, learners and other agencies
• Work with the Head of Business Development to identify new funding streams for Adult Learning Programmes
• Work with other Operations Managers to ensure that the Adult Learning curriculum provides pathways to and from Apprenticeship programmes
• Manage the Functional Skills provision across the business, including across all apprenticeship programmes

THE PERSON:

• Experience within Operations Management, ideally within Adult Education or Adult Training
• Strong commercial understanding of business development, quality and funding
• Ideally IQA qualified
• Excellent IT skills
• Confident to manage a team remotely and on-site
