Temporary Buyer / Planner (6 months) Stockport £Hourly Rate Role Profile Cast UK are looking to recruit an immediately available Buyer / Planner on behalf of a client based in Stockport. This will initially be a 6 month contract but there is real potential that the contract could be extended or made permanent thereafter. Key responsibilities will include: * Raising POs on SAP * Expediting deliveries * Negotiating with suppliers on price and lead times * Monitoring and tracking supplier performance * Working proactively to resolve any supply issues with the overall objective of improving OTIF * Maintaining accurate purchasing data within SAP Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have: * Previous experience in a Procurement, Supply Chain or Expediting role * Experience working in a manufacturing / engineering environment * Strong negotiation and influencing skills * An understanding of MRP and experience issuing purchase orders * Good working knowledge of SAP Client Our client is an engineering business based in Stockport About Cast UK Cast UK is a leading executive consultancy, providing national recruitment solutions to both clients and candidates.
