My client, a freight forwarding & logistics company based in Slough are looking for an Export Operations Clerk to process any air, sea or road shipments from start to finish.
Responsibilities
* Arrange collections, bookings with carriers and negotiate the best possible buy rates.
* Ensure all telephone calls / e-mails are answered in a timely fashion.
* Supporting the Sales Manager and Branch Manager
* Lead generation to increase the client base
* Prepare documentation, and set up job files
* Ensure customers are given regular updates on the progress of their bookings
* Responsible for raising Invoices
* Assist with quotes
* Other adhoc duties as required.
Requirements
* Must have knowledge of Airfreight and Ocean freight
* Excellent telephone and communication skills
* An advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications I.E Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
* A team player who is willing to learn and adapt to any given task
* Excellent time management and able to work to tight deadlines
* Educated to a minimum GCSE standard
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
