Trainee Buyer

Trainee Buyer My client are a quality five star house builder building beautiful new homes in highly desirable residential locations in the North West. They currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Buyer to be based in their office in Cheshire. Main responsibilities: " Obtain prices from Suppliers. " Carry out price comparisons between different Suppliers and against tender quotes. " Process material requisitions received from the Production Team. " Place material orders with Suppliers via 'COINS' " Carry out filing & distribution of copy orders. " Carry out monthly Supplier 'kpi' process. " Assist Purchasing Manager as required with quarterly rebate collection. " Source new suppliers as required in line with the Company's QA procedures. " Manage the ordering, maintenance of stock levels and distribution of the Company's corporate work wear. " Liaise with sites and Accounts Department to resolve any invoice queries that may arise. " Liaise with sites on deliveries and act as the point of contact for any problems with deliveries. Experience Required: " Knowledge of the Construction industry and Building Materials " Excellent negotiation skills " Good commercial awareness " This would suit someone who has a qualification within the construction industry (HNC/HND or similar) The company offer a salary ranging from £16k - £20k depending on experience.
