We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive Senior International Freight Coordinator. You will be based at our Birmingham NEC site where you will coordinate the movement of freight to and from exhibitions across the UK and Worldwide and contribute in leading, motivating and supervising team members at venues worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all customs paperwork, import and export licences, whilst adhering to local legislative requirements.
  • Deal with all communications professionally, using own initiative to solve any circumstances. Including client and supplier meetings at client sites and venues.
  • Contribute effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a positive attitude towards problem solving. Support the performance and development of peers and junior associates.
  • Manage all logistics, business development and financial aspects of assigned client accounts. From quoting, operating to invoicing and reporting finance figures.
  • Provide regular assessments and updates to the International Operations Manager verbally or written on day to day client management, reporting any concerns that could have a detrimental impact on CEVA Logistics and our clients.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience;

  • Proven freight forwarding experience is a must
  • An understanding of global transport logistics (air/sea/ground)
  • Excellent rapport builder and strong customer service experience
  • Excellent communication experience - both written and verbal
  • Exhibition experience would be desirable
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Flexibility - Due to the travel commitments of this role, you’ll need to be able to travel and work abroad for up to three weeks at a time.
