Reporting directly to the Procurement Director you will be responsible for putting in place national agreements to ensure best pricing and contract terms & conditions, whilst managing a small team focused on a specific category. Some of your main responsibilities include: * Produce tender documents, valuations, right through to contract award * Manage supplier relationships during the sourcing process * Manage the negotiations with suppliers * Manage stakeholders and ensure they are up to date on any current negotiations * Communicate the bid process so suppliers are aware of current status and concerns * Team management - ensure the team is supported and development plans are put in place The ideal candidate will be experienced with the management of contracts from pre-contract to contract award within public and private sectors. You must have experience or knowledge of OJEU or commercial contracting with exposure to strategic sourcing. You will have managed a team and be comfortable taking a hands on approach to achieve team targets.
