Assistant Procurement Business Partner (fixed term contract) - Mansfield - £20,000 - £30,000

Chase and Holland are pleased to be partnering a well known organisation as they look to recruit an Assistant procurement Business Partner to join their established Procurement team. This role is being recruited on a fixed term contract for 2 years.

Acting in a supportive capacity to the wider team, you will provide procurement expert and advice to the business. You will help build and maintain relationships with business management and operational teams influencing procurement strategy and decision making.

• Work as part of a multi-discipline team assisting in delivering effective contracts and helping to design new commercial arrangements taking into consideration business requirements and risks
• Assisting in the negotiation, planning and placing of contracts
• Helping with a "transforming strategy" for Procurement
• Assist in managing suppliers and contracts to sustain value throughout the life of contracts
• Help implement Category Management principles where appropriate
• Working with the Business Partners to develop a Supplier Relationship Management strategy
• To ensure compliance with European and UK legislation
• Assisting in ensuring correct commercial contract documentation and conditions of contract are applied
• Helping to be responsible for procedures to obtain procurement approvals and authorisations to ensure expenditure is well directed

Key Requirements and Preferences:

• You will have worked in, or will be working in procurement currently ideally within a public sector organisation - if you have ever had any exposure to OJEU frameworks that would be extremely advantageous
• You will be driven and keen to develop on your existing skill set
