Your new role

Exponential-e is a Cloud, Connectivity and Communications pioneer. We are recruiting for an experienced Bid professional from the IT industry to join our growing team. We would welcome applications from either an experienced Bid Manager or alternatively Bid Co-ordinator or Bid Specialist looking to take the next step up in their career.

As the Bid Manager you will manage and complete large tender responses to win new business and manage the process from initial request to contract signature ensuring compliance with customer requirements and highlighting company value proposition. You will provide valuable input into each opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution delivery. The Bid Manager will create winning proposals and respond to RFPs by working with Sales Account Managers to understand client’s requirements and drawing upon resources around the business to help co-ordinate responses or proposals to reflect this.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, drafting and managing the delivery of customer bid request materials received including PQQs, RFIs, RFPs and Tenders

  • Reviewing all content to ensure questions are being fully responded to, critiquing content and liaising with departments to update, amend and delete as appropriate ensuring consistent professional response

  • Organising and chairing all kick-off meetings and co-ordinating a win strategy

  • Co-ordinating and chairing all review meetings and monitoring progress and assess drafts

  • Carrying out post bid reviews to evaluate lessons learnt from client feedback

  • To be lead point for all questions, points of clarification to and from the clients (in bid scenarios only) ensuring that all questions / points are completed within the tender guidelines

  • Collating standard bid response documents in accordance with the Exponential-e defined styles and branding

What you’ll need to succeed

To help continue with our world-class status, we need someone who can deliver excellence. As a Bid Manager you must have experience working in a sales driven environment responding to bids and tenders.

Experience required

  • Experience working within a Tender or Bid department within the IT/Telecommunications sector
  • Ability to work under pressure, delivering to tight deadlines and managing multiple bids
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced time management abilities with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to critically analyse customer documents with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills which will enable you to communicate with clarity
  • Creative and innovative thinker who will be able to contribute to new ideas
