Are you interested in working for a world-leading research centre?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for three Senior Research Engineers to join us at the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre to help develop and grown our Nuclear supply chain. This role is suited to a creative and self-motivated individual who has a passion for learning, enjoys analytical challenges and problem solving and has a desire to develop into a recognised expert in nuclear supply chain capability.

As a Senior Research Engineer, you will operate within cross-functional project teams, working closely with the technical leads, nuclear specialists, researchers and experienced engineers to deliver projects and programs that range in diversity, complexity and duration. You will assist with projects broadly focused on UK and global nuclear supply chain development needs and capability for near term and future technologies.

You will:

• Have a good level of experience across the nuclear sector.

• Have a good general knowledge of technical engineering and manufacturing processes.

• Analytical and IT skills.

• Be able to work in multi-functional project teams and with internal and external partners.

As we are committed to allowing flexible working, this role will require regular attendance at the Nuclear AMRC in Rotherham, South Yorkshire but could support staff being based at either the Rotherham facility, Derby facility or the modules Facility in Birkenhead, Merseyside. Occasional travel between these sites will be required.

About the Team

The Nuclear AMRC’s mission is to help UK businesses win work in the nuclear sector both within the UK and globally, and this is executed through two key themes: manufacturing innovation and supply chain development, through our primary facility in Rotherham, and through other AMRC facilities around the UK. The Nuclear AMRC is based in Rotherham on the Advanced Manufacturing Park and a facility located in Birkenhead. For more information, visit www.namrc.co.uk
