The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a successful international group of companies who are looking for a Procurement Executive, with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, to join their business.

Working as part of the Procurement team it will be your responsibility to support procurement decisions and process key value-adding activities. Using your ability to negotiate and influence, you will grow and facilitate relationships with critical suppliers to ensure best quality and value.

This role is a mixture of report generation and analysis, combined with planning activity, procurement support, monitoring and supporting, while generally representing the procurement team.

Daily activities may include:

  • Developing a service level agreement with a team and ensuring it can be monitored and reported on.
  • Own the rebate system and manage, monitor and report on rebate payments from suppliers.
  • Liaise with internal team to manage relationships and report on supplier performance.
  • Benchmarking suppliers against the wider industry.
  • Meeting with suppliers to ensure processes are being adhered with and supplier feedback is gathered and review contractual obligations.
  • Work with the wider team to rationalise the supply chain and drive best practice.
  • Building RFPs and contracts.
  • Run sourcing events for potential cost saving opportunities.
  • Identify risk and plan mitigation.

This role would suit an analytical thinker, a person willing to support the procurement team with the preparation of data. This will be used to interpret, inform and build effective strategies and business plans.

The client is open to seeing applications from graduates with experience working in Global FTSE organisation with a keen eye for detail. It would be particularly desirable to have similar commercial experience, gained in an events, supply chain, or similar environment (though this is not essential to securing this role). Any ability to speak another language  would be highly advantageous.

This position is based in London, but with a requirement to  travel to other offices, particularly Amsterdam and Dubai when required, (this could be 2 or 3 times each year).
