Export Shipping Coordinator Loughborough

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Export Shipping Coordinatorto join a Global leading 3PL business on a permanent basis at their site in Leicestershire.

This role would suit an individual who has previously worked as a Freight Forwarder or has experience within the import/export logistics sector and is looking to develop their career within a transport related environment.

It is important that you can demonstrate an ability to build positive, professional relationships with a range of customer's. You will possess a logical mind-set and have proven experience in working to KPI's.

Duties include;

• Processing of invoices and packing lists for export shipments
• Produce certificate of origins
• Letter of credits
• Maintaining databases with HMRC licencing etc.
• Keeping logs up to date and able to prioritise work
• Knowledge of hazardous shipping would be an advantage
• Able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of Hazardous Shipping would be an advantage

You must possess the following skills;

• Understanding of International Commercial Terms (INCO) is essential
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent Customer Service skills (face to face and telephone communication)
• Able to work under pressure
• Work on own initiative
• Knowledge of Hazardous Shipping
• Excellent team player
• You must be IT literate with previous experience in Microsoft Office.

Salary for this opportunity is £20k-£21k.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch (early finish at 4pm on a Friday).

When fully trained cover will be needed until 5pm but worked on rotation basis within the team and that hour to be taken in lieu subject to management approval.
