Our client a Major Global Retail Services Organisation are seeking a Logistics Specialist to provide "hands on" management of the logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide logistics support, information and guidance internally for allocated programmes.
Hands on management of logistics ensuring just in time deliveries and reverse logistics to meet programme deadlines.
Manage logistics costs to budget and explain expenditure incurred in running the programme.
Manage relationship with transactional customer contacts maintaining professional communication throughout the programme
Presentation of programmes to customers, assisting Regional Logistics Manager
Working with Customs across Sea Freight (but also road and air)
The ability to plan and execute the logistics operations, working collaboratively with stakeholders
Experience of managing goods movements across Europe (air, sea and road)
Ability to interact confidently with colleagues, customers and suppliers
A basic knowledge of customs rules and transit documents
Cost effective management of 3rd party service providers
