Due to a new exciting contract this teir one supplier are looking for a Materials Buyer/Controller to join them on a permanent basis. You will be reporting directly into theo the Business Development Manager.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
- Control of the materials store - Ordering and stock checks etc
- Allocating material to production
- Goods inwards
- Issue and storage of customers finished parts
- Obtaining supplier order acknowledgement
- Inventory management
- Purchase order accuracy
- Ensure orders for components are placed
- Manage and report shortages
- Problem solve to avoid and reduce supply issues
- Ensure the right stock is delivered at the right time to the right place
- Support purchasing team with supplier negotiations and projects
- Responsible for reporting KPI's
- Responsible for providing supplier performance feedback
- Support new customer orders, production planning and pull forward enquiries
- Escalate supply issues

They are looking for a candidate who is wanting to develop into a position in which you will be in charge of purchasing of raw material.
