This role will be working for a top 100 global forwarder providing access to 5,000 logistics professionals worldwide.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working Warehouse/Operations Manager who has extensive experience in managing value added warehouses. The site operates multiple customers with different entities whilst embracing our core values.

You will be reporting to the Account Manager.

Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day functions for a smooth operation covering multiple customers and omni-channels
  • Achieve and exceed customer targets and deliver on KPIs while observing budgetary constraints
  • Manage and coordinate with your operational team to drive enhanced performance to exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop team leaders to manage their individual areas to ensure customer expectations are in line with KPI’s
  • Complete value-added tasks in a timely and professional manner for a smooth service delivery to customers
  • Strong administration skills and creating/managing/reviewing site documentation (SOPs, KPIs and H&S)
  • Maintains warehouse staff results by recruiting, coaching, mentoring and disciplining permanent and temporary staff
  • Responsible for all servicing of site equipment, site permits to work and contractor packs
  • Prepares and presents plans for operational peaks and operational projects. Ensuring to look forward 6 months.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Problem solving skills with a 'can do’ mindset
  • Familiarity with JDA or similar warehouse management systems
  • Experience in a 'Value Added’ environment (preferably in fashion)
  • Experience in people management
  • Good Knowledge of dispatch on multiple retail omni-channels: web, wholesale and retail stores
  • MS Office intermediate level
  • IOSH qualified/good knowledge of current H&S regulations.

Salary

  • Up to £45,000 DOE
