Our client based in Corby has a new and exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Co-ordinator to support the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and the supply chain functions relating to logistics, purchasing, planning and capacity. This is a maternity cover for a minimum of 12 months on a fixed term basis. 
  
The Role 

To co-ordinate and support supply chain functions relating to warehousing, logistics, purchase receipting. The role is an active, hands on, intensive role.  Administering the picking and loading of stocks in line with customer and logistical requirements coupled with the frequent liaison with 3rd Party Logistics and Warehouse suppliers.  Supporting the Warehouse & Logistics functions and providing absence cover for the Warehouse Manager.


Planning, compiling and owning the daily logistics manifest for all deliveries and collections

  • Generating picks and dispatch notes for all incoming and outgoing goods, including forward forecasting of vehicle and warehousing requirements

  • Accurately recording and verifying costs of haulage against a matrix of supplier prices to ensure correct invoicing

  • Receipting of all incoming goods expected into Solidus and its 3rd party warehousing facilities in a timely manner, liaising with Planning on goods receipted versus goods expected

  • Understanding the full Supply Chain process and where it impacts the Warehouse and Logistics department as well as how the department supports the wider business

  • Coordinating collection and processing of returned goods as well as the disposal of redundant materials

  • Coordinate the daily tasks for an established team of warehouse FLD operatives

  • Achieving exceptional levels of customer delivery excellence through effective communication and high levels of accuracy

  • Liaising with internal and external customers as well as suppliers to ensure every endeavour is made to achieve the customer’s requirements and the lines of communication are timely and clear

  • Actively assisting the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to ensure warehousing capacity across all the available facilities is managed to a safe and sensible level with contingency solutions in place for peak season

  • Reporting and rectifying all inaccurate information in Navision regarding stock variances and movements

  • Supporting quarterly stocktakes for all the Warehouse storage facilities including the administration, reconciliation, organisation and physical stock count

  • Providing absence cover for the daily tasks of the Warehouse Manager

  • Championing a continuous improvement culture within the Supply Chain functions

  • Using initiative and a ‘can do’ solutions driven attitude towards solving daily challenges.  The aim is to supply the customer on time, in full, to the highest standard, every time!


The Candidate

Essential Requirements:

  • Highly organised with advanced excel skills (pivot tables, macros, V-lookups)

  • Intuitive ‘hands on’ problem solver

  • Methodical, logical and proactive

  • Exceptional levels of accuracy and an acute attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of supply chain functions

    Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working with Microsoft Navision

  • Experience in the packaging industry

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Available for occasional travel
