I am looking for enthusiastic, driven and positive candidates to join a successful manufacturing company in Suffolk. If you are looking to join a supportive and social team and wanting a Monday to Friday role this could be an opportunity for you to start a new exciting role.
This company are a big name in the production industry for their specialism and they require a Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to support the purchasing department. You will ideally be from a manufacturing or production environment with an organised and proactive approach to your workload.
Duties
- Monitor all stock to ensure production is as efficient as possible
- Monitor and keep a backup of all stock
- Prioritise suppliers based on company needs
- Follow company processes for orders and ensure all stock is booked into the system when delivered
- Building rapport with all suppliers
- Managing calendar and spreadsheets
- Co-ordinating shipments from various companies and countries
- Track progress and KPIs for suppliers to see how they are performing
- Communicate with all internal departments to ensure smooth flow from start to finish
- Negotiate and problem solve when it comes to returns policies
- Manage high level of invoices and pass to accounts
- Work to a schedule of 75% planned/ 25% reactive
- Prioritise orders based on delivery time

- Ideally have previous purchasing/buyer experience
- High attention to detail
- Good knowledge of excel
- Ability to prioritise a heavy workload
- Must thrive in a pressurised environment
- Logistics or Freight forwarding experience would be an advantage
- Highly organised
- Telephone experience – being on the phone is a big part of the role
What is in it for you?
A competitive basic salary of £20,000-£25,000 (depending on experience) plus the following -
20 days holiday
Monday- Friday 8.30am- 5pm
No weekends or Bank Holidays
Closed during the Christmas period
