Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Administrator for this exciting diverse and busy role for their international client based in Cambridge. Previous diverse experiences in Administration, Vendor Management, Negotiation of best prices, IT Goods experience would be a desirable as this role will sit within an IT function but covering the whole business..

Overview: This is a diverse role involving Purchasing, Negotiating with supplier, budgets & finance. This international client are seeking a motivated and well organised individual to manage multiple & changing work streams. Based at this firms Head Office in Cambridge, this role will be key in the IT services team. Working in conjunction with the Senior IT Management & Group Finance to provide overall purchasing assistance, for all IT related expenditure, to record, track, and report against budget spend and control costs within budgetary constraints and deliver timely accurate reporting. This will involve customer facing and you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on offering a quality service.

Main Responsibilities: -Purchasing Administrator IT Purchasing

  • Purchase management - including quotes, purchase orders and invoice payment / reconciliation.
  • Budgets and commitment recording.
  • Month end and annual accruals.
  • Credit card reconciliations.
  • Contract management - including renewals, T&C reviews and best value evaluations.
  • Supplier management - including service delivery, account meetings, reviews, etc.
  • Asset management - maintain the IT asset list, including hardware, software, contracts, loan equipment, stock checks, etc.
  • Team administration - including meetings, leave, training, travel, accommodation, intranet page management, KPI reporting, delivery and courier management.
  • Liaising with staff across the group to provide IT services.
  • Analysing the market for new product development opportunities within the sector.
  • Negotiate prices with the retailers.
  • Production of regular buying plans.
  • Monitoring supplier price on top sellers.
  • Communicating regularly with the suppliers to drive opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with relevant and emerging trends in technology and make recommendations to purchasing strategy accordingly.
  • Other duties as reasonably requested by the Global Head of IT & Infrastructure.

Experience Required: Purchasing Administrator

Technical Development and Leadership

  • Focus at all time on technical excellence and attention to detail.
  • Ensure skills and information dissemination across IT teams.
  • Undertake training (as required and approved)

Personal Specification

Skills

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Ideally, experience working in an IT support team. (Desirable)
  • Experience of purchasing, invoicing processes, Supplier Negotiation and supplier management.

This will be a full time permanent Purchasing Administrator role. The salary will be paying £25,000 PA + company benefits.
