Logistic Night Coordinator: Full Time
Salary: £24K+
Location: Coleshill
Hours: 7.30pm-4.30am (Flexible)
Job Description:
A leading Transport & Logistics company based in Tamworth have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Night Coordinator to join the team.
You will be supporting a busy Transport & Warehouse operation and must have experience in a similar environment.
The Role:
Logistics Night Coordinator will be liaising with the transport and warehouse team and drivers to ensure the smooth running of the night shift, being the first point of call for all customer/client queries and dealing with them in a professional manner. Ensuring the drivers and staff are all fully briefed, and all paperwork and information is fully completed, along with a full hand over.
As a Logistic Night Coordinator, you will:
* Monitor the night operation and ensure that all collections and deliveries are made
* Ensure all drivers arrive on time for the following day operation and that trailers are allocated for the drivers on our system and that paperwork reflects what is asked
* Brief drivers thoroughly and ensure they understand the work expected of them
* Send all PODs to all customers from the previous day
* Download the cards of any drivers returning at night
* Ensure the correct units are given to the drivers going out
* Ensure any service requirements and vehicles are sent in for service as directed
* Maintain the integrity of all stock on site and to report any unusual goings on using the escalation process
* Ensure that the drivers leaving for the day runs are on time and report any lates
* Send a detailed handover to everyone for the day operation so as we minimise any wasted time and efforts
* Put mileages and costs in for the previous days operations
* Ensure all equipment is signed in and out using the vehicle control log
* Price and plan any work that comes in at night
* Ensure all van drivers arrive on time for the morning operations
* Escalate any issues to the operations manager
* Monitor cameras and ensure all trailers empty have their curtains pulled back and that all trailers are fitted with a shunt valve lock
Salary: £24K+
