Contracts Manager - Modular Construction, Salary c£60k + Car & Benefits package, Based out of Leeds with National travel to cover contracts

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join a market leading provider of design & build volumetric / modular / off-site construction solutions. They construct permanent buildings using Manufactured Offsite Modular construction techniques along with traditional steel frames to provide both Modular and hybrid building solutions, offering unrivalled flexibility to clients. Contracts typically within the healthcare, education, retail / commercial sectors with contract values of around £3-15m.

Contracts Manager candidate requirements:

  • Previous Contracts Manager experience, ideally from a Tier 1 Construction company or reputable contractor
  • Preferably have experience of managing contracts of around £3-15m in value within the healthcare, education, retail / commercial sectors.
  • Preferably qualified to degree level (minimum HND) be a Member of CIOB or working their way towards Corporate Membership.
  • Strong leadership and commercial skills.

The role:

As Contracts Manager you will be fully responsible for the successful operational delivery of Projects ensuring safety, product quality are completed within the contracted timescales and to budget.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the operational delivery side of the project through both Pre and Post Construction phase’s working with both internal and external stakeholders delivering quality within the scope of the design and build form of contract.

Contracts Manager Key duties:

  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the delivery team along with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to deliver high quality projects on time and to budget.
  • Develop construction programmes and phasing plans that are accurate, challenging and deliverable in liaison with Production Management and the Supply chain alike.
  • Review resource histograms that correlate with the site installation and overall contract master programme for planning, coordination, and control of the operational delivery.
  • Support Commercial in the management of the procurement of subcontract packages identifying key dates of when packages need to be placed.
  • Ensure that the company HSEQ integrated management systems are implemented and embraced by the workforce and supply chain and ensuring that adequate resources are available to the business to support HSEQ needs.
  • Present monthly progress reports, data and KPI’s to clients and key stakeholders in a professional, responsive and client focused manner.
  • Performance manage site managers identifying and monitoring KPI’s.
  • Propose, prepare and execute initiatives to enhance profitability managing risk in a collaborative manner with the whole delivery team.
  • Assist commercial colleagues to prepare monthly interim valuations and settle the final accounts - both Client and subcontractors.
