As Procurement Consultant working for our well established Financial Services client you will design, embed and manage the strategic procurement offering across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage and embed a supplier management framework (including outsourcing) for all existing and new suppliers.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of new and existing contracts working closely with the legal team and functional heads to ensure optimum commercial value and appropriate risk management.
- Oversee implementation of executed contracts and service agreements ensuring their compliance with agreed service, performance, quality and delivery levels.
- Act as a focal point for supplier management communications, training and retention of supplier management collateral.
- Identify and implement cost improvement plans for key supplier agreements and new contracts.
- Undertake assurance exercises on key suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are being met and provide reports to senior management.
- Proactively manage commercial and contractual risk with third party suppliers.
- Develop, maintain and monitor the contract management database.
- Ensure relevant policies and procedures are fit for purpose and up to date.
Suitable candidates will have a good procurement grounding gained from the financial services sector. You will be able to demonstrate proven effectiveness working with contracts and procurement including tenders
