Strategic Procurement Manager
Location: Staplehurst, Kent
Salary: £28k-£35k DOE
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Mon - Fri, 08:00 - 17:00 (42.5hrs per week)
Magnetic Shields are now recruiting for a Strategic Procurement Managerto be responsible for over £1m of spend.
The successful Strategic Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing key supplier relationships, organising and managing stock levels and supporting all departments with stock and non-stock purchasing.
Key Tasks / Duties of the Strategic Procurement Manager:
The Strategic Procurement Manager will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing, however some more detailed duties include the following:
- Setup and run strategic procurement strategies
- Manage over £1m of company spend
- Processing all purchasing requirements Company-wide
- Managing and organising stock to increase efficiency
- Setting up and managing supplier accounts
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure large scale projects have material requirements met.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of order processing & receipt
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers
- IT Proficient (experience of Excel/Word etc).
- Good organisational skills (multi-tasker)
- Team player
- Willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of engineering/fabrication
- Able to understand engineering drawings
