My client, a leader in their industry, specialist manufacturers who have been established since 2009 are looking to recruit a full-time permanent Production and Warehouse Manager situated in Burnley.

You will be joining a very friendly and lively Warehouse environment that retains that 'familyfeel’ ethos.

Key Responsibilities

  • To plan, co-ordinate, monitor and control both the production schedule and all associated production processes, ensuring that all the product produced is done so efficiently and to the correct amount whilst ensuring staff deliver expected outputs.

  • To be aligned with the engineering team to ensure all products are being manufactured to the correct design and to the highest standard of quality.

  • To contribute to the overall strategic business plan, developing their section of the plan to facilitate future growth, and engaging all staff to deliver the plan.

  • To reduce the amount of physical waste from production, finding solutions to turn the waste into usable components.

  • To manage both inward and outward stock movement whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the store(s) inventory records under your direction including all associated documentation and recording keeping for accounting purposes.

  • To ensure returns are processed and the department recovers as much value as possible, minimising the value which is disposed of.

  • The day-to-day management of Stock Control, Goods In, Picking, Quality Control, Dispatch.

  • Plan and organise all warehouse resources and daily activities in line with the objectives in a timely manner.

  • Proactively control and reduce costs through the development and implementation of new procedures and practices to continuously improve the operational efficiencies and work flow within the workshop and warehouse.

  • Ensuring that the Companies Health and Safety guidelines are followed at all times, and that risk assessments are implemented.

  • Ensure all Quality and Compliance standards are met.

  • Oversee general housekeeping requirements of the workshop and warehouse, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.

  • Lead, supervise, motivate and develop a small team of workers, driving a culture of excellence and engaging staff to drive positive change.

  • Identifying staff training needs and supply appropriate training to increase their abilities including induction training and on-going training.

  • Ensure the department is adequately skilled to cover planned/unplanned leave.

  • Support other departments where necessary, for example, the internal sales/purchasing teams to highlight any issues with customer/supplier orders.

  • Perform Quarterly/Annual Performance Reviews, disciplinary meetings and return to work interviews.

  • Assist in the recruitment for all workshop and warehouse personnel.

The Candidate

  • Minimum two years’ experience of managing and motivating a small team

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong knowledge and experience of warehouse stock procedures

  • Proven experience of effectively managing people and bringing issues to a resolution

  • A proactive approach in planning and organising whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues whilst leading by example

  • A strong team player and diplomatic influencer

  • Have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • IT literate

  • Experience of working within a workshop/warehouse/production environment

Working Hours Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm
