I'm currently recruiting a Production Planning and Logistics Manager to join a leading and cutting edge manufacturing business based in Salisbury. This role will lead all production scheduling and manage the 3PL relationship.

The client are based in Salisbury and currently lead the way for innovative products within the manufacturing space.
The brand are expanding and looking for someone to manage all Production and Logistics.
Description
The Production Planning and Logistics Manager will be responsible for the following:
Maintain an accurate Bill of Materials and item master record for all Company products in line with the latest MRI issue
Develop a Master Production Schedule (MPS) from contracts, stock order demands and sales order forecasts to meet delivery commitments to Customers
Develop appropriate high level production plans to support the MPS and achieve customer delivery requirements, and provide Rough Cut Capacity Plan scenarios based on Order Intake assumptions.
Ensure effective arrangement of the transport of all products to agreed contractual destinations ensuring that all necessary documentation is correctly completed such that all aspects relating to the shipment of hazardous cargo is taken into account. Ensure up to date legislation regarding transport of dangerous goods is maintained.
Profile
The Production Planning and Logistics Manager must offer a background in leading production teams within a highly legislated environment.
It is essential you possess experience in negotiating 3PL contracts as well as improving planning efficiency.
This position will work closely with cross functional teams and suppliers therefore excellent communication is key.
Competency in using MRP systems and excel is a must.
