Sales/logistics team leader.

Reed Procurement and Supply chain are currently working with a Northamptonshire based organisation 25 miles from Huntingdon looking for an experienced team leader who can inspire and develop a small sales and purchasing based team. 

Holding expertise in 6 core areas they are looking for and individual who can ensure the smooth transition of orders into their new MRP system.



-Ensure appropriate works orders and purchase orders are raised for the procurement and manufacture of new parts for assembly, spares and consumables.
-Developing the ‘quality consumable’ business.
-Liaise with the production team leader and technical team leader regarding delivery times and provision of appropriate documentation and regulatory compliance.
-Train to become an MRP ‘Super User’ in order to be familiar with the wider application of the system in addition to sales related functions
-Plan workloads and develop a comprehensive understanding of costings and knowledge of shipping and customs procedures.
-Liaise with agents for export and import processes (Letters of credit).



Ideally you'll have experience of operating in an engineering manufacturing environment, office management experience, good organisational skills and experience of leading a team of sales administrators and purchasing staff.

You'll be numerate and able to operate MS Microsoft Office systems to a high degree of competency and be able to produce sales/production statistics.

Demonstrate excellent team working and leadership skills.
Knowledge of MRP systems and input into departmental planning and strategy is desirable.
