The role of the Supply Chain Co-ordinator will be responsible for supporting the Logistics Manager. They will play a key role in driving forward the Logistics function with new strategies in a changing environment. They will be seen as a direct support for the Logistics Manager and second in line within the Logistics team.

Description

This role will be responsible for the following functions within the Logistics department:

  • Supervising logistics department, monitoring department KPIs
  • Acting as first an escalation point to the customer and internally
  • Approving, and recording all costs to ensure freight budget stays on target.
  • Making sure that sales targets are achieved (daily, monthly)
  • Managing SAP system - order book, production demand, sales reports.
  • Managing weekly requirements and adhering to delivery slots.
  • Monitoring existing stock levels and managing the inventory.
  • Building customers relationships
  • Ensuring customer supply is maintained through effective production planning.
  • Supervising shipments via road, sea and air to maximise cost effectiveness and delivery within time frame with all required paperwork and documentation in place.
  • Processing and analysing customer demand on a daily basis
  • Promoting continuous improvement within the department

Profile

You will be experienced in using SAP within the Sales and Distribution process. You will have knowledge of freight forwarding and customer interface. Strong communication skills are essential with an ability to meet challenges head on and be proactive in resolving issues. At least 3years' experience in an automotive / manufacturing environment within a Logistics Role. Materials Management experience is essential to carrying out your day to day responsibilities. Understanding of principles of Six Sigma / Lean.
