Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Kings Lynn, Norfolk

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)

Summary of Position:

Our client who provide a multiple of solutions to the care market, based in Kings Lynn are looking for an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will be expected to manage and oversee the functioning of the central operations team, driving accountability and managing projects in line with strategic and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To grow a deep understanding of the operational activities and procedures across the work-stream.
  • Create, communicate and execute a plan that meets the daily operational needs of the business.
  • Manage the delivery of products and services, identify ways of improving quality, consistency and profit margins.
  • Drive a culture of service excellence throughout the business, ensuring that the customer is at the forefront in all business decisions and that both central and front-line colleagues are aligned in the focus of driving issue resolution in an efficient & timely manner.
  • Motivate and lead the Central Operations team to deliver their functional objectives in line with the strategic plan and company values.
  • Actively manage the daily running and central operational procedures across the Service Fulfilment work-stream.
  • Overseeing the management and movement of inventory, distribution of goods and facilities.
  • Maintain regular contact with all members of the internal operations team to encourage development, maintain service levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Accountable for the management of quality of service and budgets within the area of responsibility and promoting and delivering key cost control initiatives.
  • Providing on the job training, guidance and coaching to all members of the central operations team.
  • Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilised to maintain an environment of continuous improvement and harmonised working.
  • Support in ensuring the business is adequately resourced, both with people and product.

Measures of Success:

  • To have measurably reduced the cost of delivering central operational services.
  • To provide a consistent level of delivery to both internal and external customers, on-time and in full.
  • To successfully maintain excellent auditing results in relation to internal operational activity.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong operational background with experience working within a project orientated environment.
  • Proven experience in a role focused on continuous improvement, looking for innovative ways to improve performance and inspiring those around you to do the same.
  • Ability to lead and work cross functionally in collaboration with key stakeholders in the business.
  • Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritising and delegation.
  • Track record of leading a positive, energetic and reliable team to encourage positive results.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change at short notice.
  • A methodical working ethic and excellent organisational skills.

Hours of work: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
