*OPERATIONS MANAGER NEEDED FOR PROFESSIONAL MANUFACTURING AND DISTRIBUTION WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT*
TITLE: Operations Manager
PACKAGE: £35-40K Basic, pension scheme, 25 days holiday (+development training)
LOCATION: Gatwick / Crawley office location (ideally commutable from Haywards Heath, Horsham, Dorking, Redhill, Reigate, East Grinstead, Dorking, Horley, Ockley, Surrey and West Sussex)
COMPANY:
European manufacturer and leading supplier of building and manufacturing materials. Currently turning over £10m+ in the UK. Recruiting now across a number of business functions as a result of sustained growth and success.
JOB ROLE:
Reporting the Managing Director, the Operations Manager role will see you join an experienced senior team at the UK head office. The role entails:
-Taking responsibility for the effective management of the company's operations in the UK.
-Management of the warehouse facility.
Leadership of a team of operations staff, motivating the team to perform at a high operational level.
-Establishing staff rotas, improving facilities management.
-Effective engagement with suppliers and 3rd parties
-Ensuring effective operational use of capital equipment and production machinery.
-Team recruitment, training, coaching and ongoing development.
-Responsibility for customer ordering, order processing, returns, logistics and order tracking.
-Use of (and management of) the company's SAP ordering and processing system.
**This role offers the opportunity of progression into a more senior Director level role over time.
PERSON NEEDED:
For the Operations Manager role our client is happy to see candidates from any industry, full training provided, but is looking for:
-Prior operational and leadership experience within a warehouse or distribution environment.
-Strong people skills and team leadership ability.
-Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
-Experience using a SAP, or similar, order processing/management system.
