You will be working for a manufacturing company who make bespoke, made to order goods for customers globally.

Sitting in their Logistics team you will be responsible for customer orders through to the delivery. This will include liaising with customers directly via email across different countries with shipping updates, processing their orders, working closely with production to ensure the product will be ready on time, arranging the shipment (mostly by courier) and ensuring on time in full delivery.

There is an emphasis on team work and being a team player as well as having strong communication skills. The department also have a continuous improvement culture. This role would suit an individual who has worked within a shipping department, import/export role, freight forwarding company or a supply chain department which included shipping.

You will be given full training. There is free parking on site.

Duties include:
• Processing of orders and booking in deliveries
• Speaking to and arranging transport with couriers and freight forwarders (air, road, sea)
• Preparing and checking export paperwork (not essential you have this experience but would be advantageous)
• Liaising with production for confirmation of despatch and delivery dates
• Be the main point of contact for key customers
• Regularly informing customers of the status of their orders
