JOB: Marine Purchaser
HOURS: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm. Friday 9am to 5.00pm
SALARY: £25-28K
BENEFITS: Free parking, good pension and dress down Friday.
HOLIDAY: 20 days plus bank holidays
LOCATION: Segensworth
My client is a rapidly growing business in the marine industry sector. Dealing with UK and International market.
You will be join a small, fun, friendly hardworking team in their new office in Segensworth reporting into office manager, managing two apprentices.
JOB ROLE:
- Responsible for procuring requested goods and services in the most economical manner subject to time critical factors.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to establish delivery deadlines, agree on prices, selection of suppliers.
- Preparing quotes and invoicing and negotiating prices with customers.
- Handling all paperwork with quotes and shipping
- Liaise with suppliers to procure requested goods and services that are fit for purpose, delivered in a timely manner and value for money.
- Arrange dispatch of centrally held stores and equipment
- Supervising/managing two apprentices
- Ensure cover is in place for purchasing at times of holiday etc.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Knowledge of marine industry
- 2 years admin/technical experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Hands on approach

- Excellent customer service skills
