Freight Pricing Specialist

Freight Pricing Specialist, Central London

Our client, a fast-paced and growing start-up are seeking a Freight Pricing Specialist with the ability to provide customers quotes/cost enquiries around all modes of freight. In this role, you will build relationships with the operations teams and successfully generate quotes for a range of blue-chip and SME clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with operations to create quotes for customers and support the sales function

• Providing quotes on multi-modal freight requests

• Analyse, record and create weekly reports to identify trends in quote activity

• Develop relationships with operational freight teams and third parties (when needed)

Key Skills (Desirable):

• Knowledge of multi-modal freight (road, air, sea)

• Financial or pricing background in logistics environment

• Commercial awareness

• Ability to work in 'start-up' environment

Our client is an innovative Freight Forwarding business with a total headcount of 30, however their scheduled growth plans show a rapid increase to 80+ in the next 18months. The pricing team is a key growth area, with options to progress into Sales/Customer Service or management at a higher level.
