If you're looking to further your career as a category buyer, I've got the job for you. Working for a manufacturing company in derby, an opportunity has arisen for a category buyer to help further my clients position as an industry leader.

The Role:

With responsibility fir a significant annual spend, you will be working under the head of procurement to produce category spending reviews and then link these to category strategies to attempt to reduce spend wherever possible.
This will involve extensive work with end users as well as suppliers, helping to look at new products and innovative ways of working in order to deliver the best possible service to all stakeholders involved. You will also be heavily involved with the production and planning teams to ensure that supply chain issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

About You:

I'm looking for someone with a strong background in buying within a manufacturing environment where you will be able to demonstrate a categorised approach to purchasing. It goes without saying that you will be able to demonstrate a strategic approach to purchasing and are an accomplished negotiator and stakeholder manager.


The Offer:

£30,000 - £40,000 Basic Salary
