Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager to join a prestigious public sector organisation in Leeds on a permanent basis.

Role:

The Category Manager role will play a key role within the Procurement Department with exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation. Duties will include;

  • Leading strategic procurement for capital equipment projects
  • Managing complex information across multi-disciplinary stakeholders
  • Responsible for a key spend area and for achieving value for money for goods and services
  • Manage relationships with Senior Managers, internal stakeholders and key suppliers
  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies
  • Accountable for delivering goals and objectives - including cost reduction targets
  • Carry out market, supplier and spend analysis - followed by appropriate benchmarking

Person

  • CIPS qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience within a similar Category/Procurement Manager role is essential
  • Exposure to capital equipment category and OJEU knowledge would be advantageous
