FTSE 100 Packaging Major

This FTSE 100 Packaging Major is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to manage all the engineering activities of one of their most profitable sites in Columbia, South Carolina. You will be based out of one of the organizations most profitable sites in Columbia, South Carolina. The organization, with over 20,000 employees across the globe, is a FTSE 100 packaging major with a number of global projects across the US, Europe and Middle-East.
You will report into the Operations Manager and have a close working relationship with other senior stakeholders within the organization including the Managing Director, Supply Chain Director and the Regional Operations Manager. Your responsibility will be to ensure the profitability and growth of your site while managing up to 5 direct employees.
Role
You will be based out of the organization most profitable site in Columbia, South Carolina, working for an established FTSE 100 Packaging Major. You will report to the Operations Manager and manage the engineering activities of the site and up to 5 direct employees, working to ensure the profitability and growth of your site.
As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will:
- Head up the Engineering department at the organization's most profitable site
- Manage a team of up to 5 direct reports to ensure that all engineering activities of the organization are primed to increase the profitability and growth of your site
- Work with Senior Stakeholders and your team to improve multiple KPI's including MTTR, MTBF, unplanned technical downtime, etc.)
- Working with internal managers to create systems ensuring that your machines are properly cared for and serviced
- Support the plants major improvements including process improvement, raw material utilization and loss eliminations
Key Skills Sought
- Key experience in engineering working within a corrugated manufacturing environment
- Experience working across Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
- Has key project management experience and skills (PRINCE2 is preferred but not a requirement)
- Able to lead change and adhere lean principles and has a proven track record of leading a team
- Key experience within an operations role managing multiple sites
- Experience working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Technology, Process, etc.)
