The City of Edinburgh Council is looking to strengthen its award winning team of procurement professionals with driven and ambitious procurement specialists who have proven track record of delivering procurement projects.

Working as part of a large fast paced team you could be delivering a range of projects across various categories of spend, including amongst others Construction, Care Services and Facilities Management.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for delivering multiple projects at any one time with a focus on value for money, end user requirements and our wider environmental, social and economic objectives such as sustainability, community benefit, fair work practices and the development of a vibrant local economy.

To help achieve the successful delivery of the procurement pipeline and ambitious savings targets, candidates should have relevant procurement sourcing or project delivery experience, preferably in the public sector. The role will involve responsibility for stakeholder engagement, analysis, planning and delivery of a range of procurement projects which meet Council objectives in the most commercially effective manner.

Ideally you will have achieved or will be working towards CIPS Level 4 Diploma in procurement and supply or other recognised procurement qualifications.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
