Job Title: Mandarin Speaking Logistics Operation Manager
Location: Central London
Type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: Up to £36,000 depending on experience
Responsibilities:
* Negotiate the service level agreement, custom clearance, transportation, and storage rates with services providers and keep substantial cost savings by securing discounts;
* Maintain good relationships with existing forwarders and develop new forwarders;
* Deal with custom clearance for sea, air and rail import shipment in UK and Europe, manage delivery bookings between ports / airport, warehouses and sites and deliver full support for projects, provide optimal logistics and storage solution and avoid unnecessary costs;
* Communicate and coordinate daily with shipping companies, freight forwarders, hauliers, warehouses and sites to ensure smooth deliveries and resolve problems;
* Organise export for empty stillages and materials shipping;
* Check and monitor deliveries and unloading in warehouses and ensure materials are in good condition and correct quantities;
* Manage warehouse storage space for projects to meet sites request;
* Manage Barking warehouse labour cost;
* Deal with Insurance claim for damaged units;
* Invoices / costs registration, check and verify invoices to ensure correct billing, help QS to claim the expenses that caused by third party liability;
* Raise invoices PAs and complete necessary paper works for payment;
* Quote new logistics related prices to support future projects tendering.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years relevant working experience
* Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English
