Staffstore UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a successful international company based in Leeds

Successful applicants will hold a relevant qualification in Business Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain management

The main purpose of this post will be to oversee the logistics management of the company management of the employees within the Logistics Department

Duties will include:

  • Process new Purchase Orders
  • Receive order confirmation or PF from supplier and take further action, obtain payment if required
  • Solve any price / quantity / pack size issue related to customer side or supplier side
  • Co-ordinating with sales team, supplier & customer
  • Sending all documents and order updates to customer
  • Review order scheduling on daily basis
  • Updating Smartsheet
  • Chasing AWB and order completion confirmation
  • Recording discrepancies
  • Obtaining quotes for transportation and storage (air/sea/road freight)
  • Negotiating with freight forwarders & packing companies to obtain best price
  • Effective management of the Logistics team
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor freight, storage and handling costs and develop new strategies to reduce costs
  • UKBA Certificate allocation, licence renew
  • Working on projects with BD to win contact.
  • Do research work to gather knowledge for company benefit, Dubai perspective
  • Update inventory list on a daily basis
  • Record any new stock (UK/Dubai/NL)
