We are currently working with a growing and well established manufacturing and logistics company that serves London and the South.

Due to ongoing success, they are currently seeking an experience Warehouse Manager to cover nightshifts - Monday to Friday 6pm to 4am.

The Warehouse Manager will work to achieve operational demands to tight deadlines within a team environment.

As the Warehouse Manager, you will be leading a team of 25 Operatives, you will be dedicated to ensuring your team are engaged, well managed and perform to the highest standards. You will act as an advocate and promote company health and safety values and safety standards. You'll also hold regular meetings with your team, providing them with a platform to suggest their own ideas to improve overall service standards to customers.

Warehouse Manager responsibilities will include:

*Lead and motivate your team to ensure all operational objectives are achieved.
*Achieve warehouse operational targets by ensuring all orders are picked and loaded safely onto vehicles.
*Supervise the Transport Planning cell and Night Shift Production.
*Understanding the wider business objectives, in line with this look for ways in which to reduce cost and improve service.
*Liaise with department managers to resolve issues affecting night operation.
*Ensure equipment is operated in line with the published SOP (standard operating procedures) at all times.
*Reduce accidents and damages by promoting and developing a healthy and safe work culture.
*Conduct accident and damage investigations.
*Create a structured shift pattern for the night shift with supervision at all levels.
*Reports completed on time and weekly hours accounted for.
*Develop a competent team through mentoring, performance management and effective communication.
*Organise shift meetings to communicate and resolve night operation issues.
*Provide support on Kaizen initiatives to optimise continuous improvement.
*Promote a culture and implement a system of efficient housekeeping throughout the site.
*Attend the weekly compliance meetings.
*Assist the Warehouse Operation Manager in achieving company objectives.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

*Experience of working to and achieving tight daily targets.
*Previous warehouse management experience.
*Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and be PC literate (specifically Excel).
*NEBOSH is desirable, IOSH is essential.
