Logistics Project Manager - Leading e-Commerce Retailer - Sheffield - Up to £55,000 +Bonus

About the Company

Our client is a leading e-commerce retailer with a significant national presence. Due to unprecedented growth year on year, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Project Manager to join their team in the Sheffield area.

As Logistics Project Manager you will be a key member of the Distribution Centre function, overseeing the planning, execution/implementation. You will bring a strong technical knowledge of project management skills, techniques, processes and have a logistics background.

Logistics Project Manager - Requirements

  • Ability to partner, form and lead teams with cross-functional groups ensuring common team objectives, goals and milestones are met.
  • Must be able to work with other Managers, both internally and externally
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience, at multiple levels within the company using a variety of formats, presentations, emails, leading meetings, face to face, etc.
  • Must be able to navigate internal and external processes and overcome barriers to effectively implement new processes.
  • Will manage multiple projects and various stages and levels of complexity and demonstrate ability to prioritize per business needs.
  • Certification in Project Management is desirable from a recognised certified body
  • Must have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher)

Logistics Project Manager - Responsibilities

  • Create detailed work plans for assigned projects which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete each project
  • Determine the resources (time, money, capital equipment, etc.) required to complete the project and resolve resource conflicts
  • Estimate and monitor project savings
  • Develop schedules for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Lead & implement logistics projects
  • Review project schedules with senior management and project team members; revise schedules/plan as required
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated at completion
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
  • Monitor the progress of projects and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the projects
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of projects
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
  • Write reports on the projects for management
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
