Senior Purchasing officer - Buyer
Location: Eastbourne
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The RZ Group is currently working with a global engineering company who are looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their team based in Eastbourne. So if you have experience sourcing electronic components in a manufacturing environment this could be the perfect role for you.
This role will give you the perfect next step in your career with a clear path to progressing within the organisation.

The successful candidate will be:
* Identifying requirements and develop a sourcing strategy
* Strengthen the procurement capabilities for existing and future projects.
* Ensure that the purchasing team meet specific KPI's of Quality, cost and delivery
* Strengthen, coach and develop a purchasing team to support the future needs of the business.
* Develop a supplier base that is appropriate to the size and complexity of the organisation, and ensures business continuity eliminating risk where possible.
* Ensure that third party suppliers understand and work in alignment with our quality, EHS and BC policies.

Experience & Skills Required:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience within manufacturing organisation and in a Buyer type role
* Experience in sourcing electronic components / electro mechanical items.
* CIPS Qualification would be an advantage but is not essential
* Previous experience using SAP or other ERP / MRP systems
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience and ability in working with Senior Management, advising at all levels as required.
* Excellent negotiation skills, with experience in negotiating contracts and or long term supplier agreements.
