Procurement Assistant (MRP Controller)

We are recruiting for a Procurement Assistant at the Cramlington site to provide sourcing and purchasing support, ensuring materials are sourced in a cost-effective and timely manner. The role will initially be on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Part of the BioProduction (BPD) Division, the team in Cramlington produce our range of Single-Use Technologies (SUT) which are typically used by biopharma companies around the world for drug development. We produce more than 2,000 products for our growing customer base and have been producing these products at Cramlington since 1997.

The role:

• Plan, schedule and monitor movement of materials through MRP system
• Place orders based on MRP schedule
• Monitor inventory levels
• Manage and expedite orders
• Report and manage group metrics
• Act as primary interface with suppliers

The person:

• CIPS qualified
• Materials control experience
• Purchasing and procurement experience
• Familiar with global sourcing
• Understanding of GMP
• Import / export experience
• Experience using Oracle or similar system
